GETTING THE CAR

WHEN PICKING THE CAR UP:

  1. If the car is reserved for a certain hour, the car will wait up to two hours from the appointed time. Following the two hours, the rental company is not required to hold the car. So if you are planning to rent a car after landing in the the airport, it is recommended to offer your flight information to the car rental company, in order to hold your order in case of any flight delays.
  2. Prior to taking the car, it is very important to complete a search for any scratches, damages, missing accessories or appliences in the car. Write down a full description of these damages on the vehical card. This card will be evidence to the fact that these defects did not occur during the time of your rental.
  3. Make certain the station of the rental company is open during the hours you intend to pick up/return the vehical. Even if you are planning to pick the car up at the airport, some of the companies there don't work 24 hours a day.
  4. Bring a credit card under your name.
  5. Don't forget to verify the gas type the car requires, to ensure no harm is made to the car.
  6. Some of the rental companies offer a delivery/collection service for an additional charge.

LIMITATIONS

It is important to know that exiting the borders of the country and entering palestinian authority's territory is forbidden.

FINES

Any accidents that may have happened during the time of the rental, should be reported to the rental company as soon as possible. Even if no harm has been made to the vehical, the other side involved in the accident could cause problems. According to the rental agreement, the rental company can charge for the damages. If fined (traffic tickets, parking tickets), pay the fine immediately, otherwise the rental company may recieve the fine and charge interest.

RETURNING THE CAR

Upon return of the rental car, the gas tank should be filled, otherwise, double the cost of fueling will be charged. Some companiew allow payment of a smaller fine in advance, so as to exempt the customer from this bother. Remember to ask the company's representative for an approval to show the vehical was returned in good condition and according to the requirements.
